Hello, I bought this teapot a month or two ago from a Chinese tea shop in Calgary, Canada, but the owner was gone to China at the time so I know very little about it. I was looking to buy a teapot for ripe pu erh and this pot smelled of ripe and had a few pieces of dry leaf stuck in the spout.
I was wondering:
-If it is indeed Yixing -It's approximate age -What the markings say -If it is handmade or semi handmade -Any other information
There are no markings beneath the lid or at the bottom of the handle. I was told the bottom stamp said "China Tea House", but not sure if this is true or where it might have come from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
In my opinion, this is a new yixing teapot. I'm not sure if it is handmade, semi handmade, or molding. This is very heard to tell until look closely on hand. The bottom stamp says "China Tea House", but I have no idea who it is.
