Dear all, Besides some Yixing tea ware, I happen to own a 'phoenix and dragon' Yixing clay vase. The red clay seems to have an attraction I cannot resist. I hope you allow me to post the following request. The mysterious 10 character mark, pictures, is a big mystery to me, which is why I would ask your assistance. Would any of you be able and so kind to explain its meaning to me? Your help will be highly appreciated. Apologies; I can't seem to get the pictures in the good direction. Thanks! Best regards, Sybilla
Hi Sybilla, this vase is very special and I have not seem before. Most of the seal mark read from right to left traditionally. But this one is read from left to right. The left characters says chisel and carving workshop. The right characters says made by the artist of LeXiang Clay Man(nick name). Hope this is help.
